Job summary

Mirage Post Acute seeks a Medical Records Director to oversee the management, security, and accuracy of resident health records in compliance with HIPAA, regulatory guidelines, and SNF standards. You will coordinate with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to support documentation needs and ensure survey readiness.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate or Bachelor’s in Health Information Management, RHIT or equivalent, and at least 2 years in medical records with strong organizational

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management required or preferred.
• RHIT or similar credential preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical records or health information management.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid documentation standards, and SNF regulations.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee creation, maintenance, and storage of resident medical records per HIPAA and regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of admissions, discharges, transfers, and updates.
• Monitor record completion and ensure compliance with policies and requirements.
• Coordinate with nursing, therapy, and admin teams to support documentation needs.
• Train and supervise medical records staff; prepare reports and audits.
