Job summary
Waynesboro Post Acute and Rehabilitation is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to maintain accurate, confidential records for residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will file, scan, index, and retrieve documentation while ensuring proper signatures, dates, and authentication across all records.
You will also monitor records for completeness, assist with EMR data entry, and coordinate with staff to ensure timely, compliant discharge and transfer documentation, while upholding HIPAA
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in medical records or health information management preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical record confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, complete, organized medical records for residents.
- File, scan, index, and retrieve documentation per procedures.
- Ensure records have required signatures, dates, and authentication.
- Monitor records for missing or inaccurate documentation and follow up.
