Job summary

Cambridge Place in Kansas is seeking a capable Medical Records Coordinator (LPN or RN) to manage resident health information, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support accurate billing through proper ICD coding.

You will handle chart creation, audits, record requests, and open/closed record maintenance, while enjoying a welcome gift, tuition reimbursement, PTO, 401(k), and other team perks.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• LPN or RN license in Kansas.
• Experience with ICD coding preferred.
• Read, write, speak English clearly to communicate with patients and staff.
• Sufficient computer skills to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Diagnosis List/Sheet in the electronic system and performs ICD coding as trained.
• Create medical records for all new admissions.
• Maintain open records order and ensure timely physician sign-offs and Medicare certifications.
• Perform routine audits of medical records for compliance and timeliness.
• Manage office supplies and forms inventory as directed.
• Coordinate MARs/TARs and pharmacy references when applicable.
• Process medical record requests with appropriate HIPAA clearance.
• Maintain closed records per policy.
• Respond to phone inquiries regarding medical records.
• Perform other duties as requested.
