Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Record Information or related area preferred.
• RHIA/RHIT preferred; CCA, CCS or CPC required.
• One year experience in Medical Records/Health Information Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code discharged patient medical records with ICD codes based on documentation.
• Maintain accurate patient databases and answer department calls as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and apply the minimum necessary rule in handling records.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, standards and policies.
