Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date electronic and paper medical records.
• Review records for completeness and follow up on missing or incomplete documentation.
• Process medical record and release-of-information requests while protecting patient privacy.
• Verify appropriate authorization before releasing confidential health information.
• Scan, upload, index, and file documentation accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist clinical and administrative team members with locating and retrieving records.
• Track medical record requests and releases and ensure they are completed within required timeframes.
• Support internal audits, quality reviews, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and River Vista confidentiality policies.
• Communicate professionally with staff, patients, families, and other authorized parties.
• Help ensure our medical records processes support safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Perform additional administrative and medical records duties as needed.
