Responsibilities

• File patient records in a rotary file using terminal digit filing system.
• Type file labels, indexes, patient record cards, mailing labels, medical identification cards and medical warning tags.
• Receive telephone calls.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other Protected Health Information (PHI) rules and regulations.
• Perform duties as receptionist for patients who must obtain their medical records prior to clinic visit.
• Search, screen and pull a record for scheduled and non-scheduled visits to various clinics and place out guides into file to replace records.
