Job summary

HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Lone Tree, CO is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to support the HIM Director and manage HPF/MPF workflows, record retrieval, scanning, indexing, and associated duties. You will interact with parents to gather birth information and handle birth certificate documentation with accuracy.

The role involves ensuring compliance with state requirements, handling suspended physician lists, and maintaining orderly records using 3M 360 Encompass and HPF/MPF systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Hospital or medical office experience preferred.
• Certification program from the state may be required for birth certificate processing, training and course fees will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves discharged medical records from various departments and reconciles them to ensure records are accounted for.
• Facilitates retrieval and printing of medical records from storage and manages archival/retention of documents.
• May assist with physician suspension process by evaluating if a physician should be suspended and preparing notices.
• Prepares medical records and loose documents for scanning and ensures scanning accuracy.
• Scans medical record documents and indexes related documentation.
• Interacts with parents to collect birth information and guide completion of forms.
