Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in information management and psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
• Previous HIM Clerk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering health information services per accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Implement P&Ps for documenting, storing and retrieving information and handling medical-legal documents.
• Maintain patient medical records with accurate documentation as required.
• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed in all activities.
• Support the Medical Records Manager as delegated.
• Prep/Scan/Index discharge records to ensure complete and accurate entries.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to process revisions and requests for medical records.
