Summary:
The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to deliver patient care and assist providers. They collaborate with healthcare team members and perform clerical duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of an accredited medical assisting program, or 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience. CMA certification is preferred. BLS certification required within 90 days.

Experience: Prior Medical Assistant experience and certification are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in computer skills, medical terminology, physical and mental stamina, dexterity, organizational, communication, and time management skills. Knowledge of outpatient procedures, Patient Centered Medical Home, MIPS, and HEDIS is a plus.

Working Conditions:
Ability to travel between facilities, exposure to infections and contagious diseases, handling emergency situations, working in a variable environment, and flexible scheduling are required. The work environment is an office setting with moderate noise levels.
