Optum is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to support ProHealth Physicians in Danbury, CT. This full-time role centers on greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and maintaining demographic data within the EHR.

Occasional coverage at nearby ProHealth practices may be required. The position supports the Internal Medicine department and requires basic office software skills and a patient-focused approach.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years receptionist or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.

Mansioni

• Conduct check-in and check-out process
• Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
• Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
• Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
• Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
• Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
• Balance payments and prepare deposits
• Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information
• Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
• Perform other duties as assigned
