Medical Receptionist - Nephrology

Location: Fairfax, Virginia

Pay: From $18 per hour

Must Have:

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist (2+ years)
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations
• Experience working on EMR systems; knowledge of Epic preferred
• Ability to handle high call volumes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medical records
• Room patients
• Provide clinical assistance
• Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and manage appointment schedules
• Answer patient questions and maintain the reception area to ensure comfort
• Maintain patient records and accounts, including updating personal and financial information
• Perform data entry and processing
