The Medical Receptionist Lead provides a variety of receptionist and office support services including scheduling, reminding next day appointment, checking in/out patients for medical appointment, arranging interpreter and transportation and other general office duties. This position assists the Assistant Health Center Manager in hiring, coaching, training and problem solving.
The Medical Receptionist Lead utilizes strong organizational and multitasking skills daily to manage patient flow and administrative duties efficiently. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare providers, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all exchanges. Leadership and team management skills are applied to train, motivate, and support the reception team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Proficiency with EHR systems and office software enables accurate data entry, scheduling, and reporting, which are critical for operational success. Additionally, problem-solving skills are frequently employed to address patient concerns, resolve scheduling conflicts, and coordinate with other departments to maintain seamless service delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in a health care and/or insurance setting preferred.
- Fluent in English: additional fluency in other languages is valued. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
