Athena Care is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist Float to support multiple middle Tennessee offices including Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Hendersonville, and Clarksville. The role covers shifts at other clinics as needed with Nashville or Franklin as home base.

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact, greeting patients and guiding check-in/out while striving for high patient satisfaction in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Active, unrestricted driver''s license required.
• Must provide ongoing documentation that personal automobile insurance is active in state minimum.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with check-in/check-out processes.
• Answers calls or forms from patients and responds professionally.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and agencies.
• Routinely travels to other clinics to cover absences or planned days off.
• Complies with policies and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, etc).

• Follow contact center protocol for inquiries.
• Participates in outreach activities as needed.
• Completes administrative tasks to keep the office organized and presentable.

Athena Care provides comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults across middle Tennessee. Services include diagnostic assessment, medical management, psychotherapy, and TMS and Spravato treatments along with Intensive Outpatient Services for adolescents and adults. Founded in 2001, Athena Care is \"in-network\" with most major insurance plans.

Athena Care is currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist Float to support our middle TN offices (Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, Hendersonville, and Clarksville). When needed this team member will cover shifts in our other clinics, and when not covering in another clinic the home base for this role can be in Nashville or Franklin.

Job Summary

The Medical Receptionist is the initial point of contact when a patient arrives and represents the office. The Medical Receptionist greets patients and navigates the check in and out process while striving for patient satisfaction in every Interaction.

Core Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Greets incoming patients, and assists with check in process
• As needed, answers calls or other contact forms from patients; engages professionally and courteously with contact
• Provides superior customer services to all individuals and agencies involved through any and all modes of contact
• Routinely travels to other middle TN clinics to provide coverage for absences and planned days off.
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality, as well as compliance with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, etc)
• Identifies and resolves clients needs and issues to ensure quality patient service as they arise
• Follow contact center protocol in for handling inquiries as they arise
• As needed, participates in outreach activities related to the office
• Completes administrative and operational tasks to ensure the office is clean, organized, and presents well to patients and visitors
• Communicates effectively within the organization providing regular updates to supervisors and peers about current and completed tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-year prior healthcare experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active, unrestricted driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
• Must provide ongoing documentation that personal automobile insurance is active in at least the state minimum amounts.
