Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine is hiring a Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This hybrid role blends front-desk duties with light clinical support, leveraging an MA skillset to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care from check-in to checkout.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organization, and EHR proficiency to manage appointments, patient records, and insurance basics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and understanding of insurance basics.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; verify demographics and insurance.
• Manage multi-line phone system; schedule and confirm appointments.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming reception area.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile daily totals.
• Handle referrals, medical records requests, and patient paperwork.
• Communicate scheduling changes and clinic updates to patients.
• Support provider schedules with accurate visit types and prep.
• Manage faxes, emails, and EHR messages; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals and history.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies; maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with minor procedures and basic clinical tasks as directed.
