Position Overview

Urgent Team is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Lenoir City, Tennessee center. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in medical reception tasks such as patient check-in and insurance verification in a healthcare setting. This is a PRN position with shifts scheduled as needed.

Job Summary

The Medical Receptionist will greet patients, activate files, and support both patients and staff. Full-time staff work 36-40 hours weekly with rotating shifts, while PRN staff are scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, assist with registration and inquiries.
• Answer phones, manage documentation, and perform patient callbacks.
• Check in/out patients, assist clinical staff, and close the office at shift end.
• Collect insurance info, verify demographics, process payments, and post balances.
• Maintain a professional and clean work environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Experience in a medical office setting.
