We are looking for a friendly, patient-focused, and efficient person to join our Reception Team.
Role:
The role can be either a full-time position or two part-time positions, working a two-week shift rota. Please specify your preferred hours in your application; this will be discussed at the interview.
Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week:
Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 10:30 - 18:30
Part-time role 1, 15 hours per week:
Week 1: Monday & Tuesday 08:00 - 16:00
Week 2: Monday & Tuesday 10:30 - 18:30
Part-time role 2, 22.5 hours per week:
There may be an opportunity to choose alternative working days with this role.
This role involves receiving, assisting, and directing patient inquiries to access the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive, friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via telephone.
Comfortable working environment with air conditioning for summer months.
The candidate should be well-organized, possess excellent telephone manners, be able to cope under pressure, have good communication skills, and be computer literate. Experience with Emis Web is preferred, but training can be provided.
It is essential that the candidate has a caring approach and is a good listener! Be a team player and motivated to provide caring and efficient service to our patients as part of a wider team.
We are a friendly, well-organized GMS Practice located in a purpose-built surgery on the outskirts of Worcester, serving just over 11,500 patients. Our team includes GPs, ANPs, PAs, nurses, supported by management, administration, and reception staff.
We are part of the Worcester City Primary Care Network and have strong links with associated teams within this organization.
