Hours:

  • Full Time
  • Our offices are open Monday-Friday 7am-8pm. You must have open availability to work any shift within these hours. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate patient flow
  • Verify medical and vision insurances
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in person requests

Formal Job Description:

A Patient Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for patients, setting the tone through excellent patient care. They also perform administrative responsibilities to ensure a smooth check-in/out process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter, in person or via phone. Greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
  • Answer phones (both external and internal) promptly and courteously.
  • Practice urgency with patients' time, as well as Doctor's schedule.
  • Manage patient flow in the office.
  • Know common fees for visits and collect correct payments.
  • Complete daily reconciliations, close the day, and count cash drawer.
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Reliable transportation to multiple work locations with minimal notice.
  • Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
  • Demonstrate initiative in achieving practice goals.
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change.
  • Create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused.
  • Work over 40 hours as needed to meet business needs.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with all employees.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Favorable background check required.
  • Proof of identity and right to work in the U.S. must be provided.
