Job summary

Advanced Urgent Care in Key West is seeking qualified medical receptionists to join our busy front desk. You will support patient check-ins, verify insurance, and manage electronic records, with emphasis on accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires at least 1 year of medical receptionist experience, strong terminology knowledge, and ability to use EMR systems (eClinicalWorks a plus). This in-person position offers full-time and part-time options in the Florida Keys.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a medical receptionist.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior-authorization.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR software; eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Ability to answer phones and fax records.
• Strong patient communication in a healthcare setting.
• Calm, patient, courteous in busy environments.
• Local to the Florida Keys; able to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front-desk flow at Advanced Urgent Care, Key West.
• Verify insurance details and obtain authorizations as required.
• Enter and update patient information in EMR; handle records by phone/fax.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient communication with care teams.

Job requirements include: ONE YEAR MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST, and therefore adept at:

• Insurance verification
• Prior-authorization
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency in electronic medical records software (eClinicalWorks experience a plus)
• Answer phones, fax records
• Desire and ability to interact with patients about healthcare matters
• A calm, patient, and kind demeanor. Must be able to maintain respect and courtesy in a busy environment.
• Must be local to the Keys and ready to start immediately. No relocation fees available.
