Community First Health Centers is currently seeking an exceptional Medical Receptionist to join our team at our Algonac medical facility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be friendly, motivated, and flexible as a team player.

Under the supervision of the Medical Clinic Practice Manager, you will support clinic operations by performing clerical functions such as collecting and updating patient information, answering phones, and assisting patients. This position is based at our Algonac, MI facility located at 555 St. Clair River Drive.

Daily Responsibilities of Our Medical Receptionist

• Answer incoming calls politely, screening or forwarding as necessary
• Greet clients, assist with questions, check-in/out, payments, and printing of visit summaries and return-to-work/school documents
• Make and adjust client appointments accurately
• Enter, update, and verify client information in our system
• Triaging patients effectively and efficiently
• Scan forms into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Verify insurance information, client identity, and obtain signatures as needed
• Educate and enroll clients in our patient portal
• Complete billing entries in EMR to reconcile errors
• Follow opening/closing procedures, including handling receipts and balances
• Promote awareness of agency programs and services
• Attend meetings, seminars, and workshops as required
• Sign for deliveries, paying attention to refrigeration needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
