Effective 9/24/2021 - $500 Sign On Bonus

Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Assistant) with the NHMP Danbury Primary Care department - Danbury, CT. 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, Rotating 8 hour shifts 7:00am - 5:30pm.

  • On average this office sees 125 - 150 patients per day with 500 - 700 phone calls. This is a very large and fast paced office. Must be able to answer very busy phones, schedule patients as well as handle a very busy patient flow.

Summary: Provides advanced level clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for physician practice operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and schedules appointments and obtains authorizations for testing, referrals, surgical procedures, hospital procedures, hospital admissions.
  • Reconciles money and financial reports for daily office deposit.
  • Expected to be cross-trained and provide back-up for check in/out staff.
  • Coordinates and maintains physician schedules including, but not limited to, meetings, teaching, inpatient rounding.
  • Maintains and orders office supplies for efficiency of operation while ensuring budgetary controls.
  • Participates in the reengineering of workflows and process improvements throughout the practice to meet the requirements of programs such as Patient Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use.
  • Completes audits and assists with tracking and reporting of information as needed.
  • Acts as a super user for telephone and/or scheduling systems.
  • Presents a professional appearance and imagine.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Required: High School Diploma or GED

Required: MS Outlook, MS Excel, Data Entry, Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written).

Minimum Experience: one year

Salary Range

$16.0000 - $29.5147 Hourly (Pay per relative years of experience)
