ChristianaCare is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, offering a pathway for experienced physicists or post-residency professionals seeking growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and fellow physicists to ensure safe, precise therapy delivery. This day-shift, largely onsite position includes approximately 20% remote flexibility, with time split between Broomall, PA and Newark, DE

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics required.
• Completion of a medical physics residency.
• Approximately 5 years of post-residency experience preferred; candidates with 3+ years of post-residency experience are encouraged to apply.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
• Clinical experience within radiation oncology.
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation safety and associated technologies.
• A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and an interest in continued professional growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Support treatment planning and dosimetry for photon and electron radiation therapy.
• Perform calibration, quality assurance and performance monitoring of radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, CT simulation and HDR brachytherapy systems.
• Support stereotactic radiotherapy and brachytherapy programs.
• Participate in equipment selection, acceptance testing, commissioning and implementation of new technologies and treatment techniques.
• Provide clinical physics expertise and radiation safety guidance to physicians and other members of the radiation oncology team.
• Develop and maintain quality control programs supporting patient dosimetry and treatment delivery.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advances in therapeutic medical physics and contribute to education and clinical program development.
