Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, collaborating with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists and fellow physicists to ensure safe, precise radiation delivery and to advance clinical programs.

The role involves treatment planning support, QA of therapy equipment, and participation in new technology implementation, with a day-shift schedule and about 20% remote flexibility across Broomall, PA and Newark, DE

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Medical Physics required.
• Completion of a medical physics residency.
• Approximately 5 years of post-residency experience preferred; 3+ years encouraged to apply.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
• Clinical experience within radiation oncology.
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation safety and related technologies.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to ongoing professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Support treatment planning and dosimetry for photon and electron therapy.
• Perform calibration, QA and performance monitoring of radiotherapy equipment.
• Support stereotactic radiotherapy and brachytherapy programs.
• Participate in equipment selection, acceptance testing and commissioning of new technologies.
• Provide clinical physics and radiation safety guidance to the oncology team.
• Develop and maintain quality control programs for dosimetry and delivery.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to education and program development.
