Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute.

This role collaborates with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and physicists to ensure safe, accurate radiation delivery and advancement of clinical programs. The candidate will participate in planning, QA, and implementation of new technologies, with 5+ years post-residency preferred and ABR board certification.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Medical Physics required.
• Completion of a medical physics residency.
• Approximately 5 years of post-residency experience preferred; 3+ years acceptable.
• Board Certification by ABR in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
• Clinical experience within radiation oncology.
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy, dosimetry and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support treatment planning and dosimetry for photon and electron therapy.
• Perform calibration, QA and performance monitoring of therapy equipment.
• Support stereotactic radiotherapy and brachytherapy programs.
• Participate in equipment selection, testing and implementation of new tech.
• Provide clinical physics expertise and radiation safety guidance.
• Develop and maintain QC programs for dosimetry and delivery.
• Stay current with evolving technologies and contribute to education.
