Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret measurements for nuclear medicine imaging equipment and oversee radionuclide calibration.
  • Calculate and interpret patient organ doses in line with radiation safety principles.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC, NYC, and NYS Health Code requirements; provide services at various locations.
  • Perform Radiation Safety/Quality Assurance testing on SPECT, PET, uptake probes, dose calibrators, and well counters.
  • Assist in radiation protection design, accreditation processes, and dosimetry calculations.
  • Monitor occupational exposure and conduct surveys; participate in research evaluations.
