Job summary

This junior role works under the supervision of a Senior Medical Physicist and the Director of Radiation Safety, performing radiation safety/QA testing of diagnostic imaging equipment and assisting with the radioactive materials program.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree acceptable to NYS, 3 years of related experience, and a NYS Limited Permit in Diagnostic Radiological Physics or Nuclear Medical Physics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree acceptable to the NYS Office of Professions.
• 3 years of experience related to your sub-specialty.
• NYS Limited Permit in Diagnostic Radiological Physics or Nuclear Medical Physics.

Responsibilities

• Performs Radiation Safety/QA testing and report preparation.
• Attends departmental meetings and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Radiation Safety.
