Job summary

UW School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison seeks a Leave Specialist to manage all medical and parental leaves end-to-end. Under the Dean’s Office, Department of Administration – Human Resources, you will ensure compliance with state and federal laws while supporting employees, supervisors, and leaders across SMPH.

You will handle an annual caseload of 800+ leaves, provide expert guidance, and coordinate with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in leave administration and policy interpretation.
• Ability to manage complex leave scenarios within federal/state laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities
