Job summary

Eugene Eye Care Associates, PC is seeking a Medical Ophthalmologist to join our busy full-scope practice serving Eugene, Springfield, and Cottage Grove, Oregon. The candidate will co-manage medical and surgical patients with our team of ophthalmologists and perform comprehensive eye care across multiple locations.

We offer a starting salary of $300,000 with production bonuses and benefits including malpractice insurance, medical insurance, paid holidays, PTO, a 401(k) plan, and a health savings

Qualifications

• MD degree required.
• Oregon State Medical License required.
• Valid driver’s license and means to travel between clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage medical/surgical patients with the surgical ophthalmologists.
• Conduct patient exams within the scope of their license.
• Conduct emergency patient exams.
• Diagnose and treat ocular pathology (e.g., myopia, astigmatism, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, AMD).
• Provide contact lens exams and manage fittings with tech support.
• Oversee and conduct diagnostic testing and analysis for patient care management.
• Inform patients of diagnostic test results.
• Refer patients to optical as appropriate.
• Refer patients to surgical ophthalmologists as appropriate.
• Utilize Practice Management and EHR systems.
• Address patient messages and resolve questions and concerns.
• Attend administrative/department meetings as identified.
• Collaborate with administrative team to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Practice in all locations: Eugene, Springfield, Cottage Grove.
• Demonstrate core values; provide training to technicians and scribes.
