Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in North Dakota seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical Oncology unit to provide compassionate, comprehensive inpatient care for adults with oncology and medical conditions.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, supervise per policy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. New grads welcome; sign-on and relocation offered.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an approved nursing program.
• Active RN license in ND or a compact state.
• BLS certification within orientation period and recertification as required.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care for adults with medical and oncology conditions.
• Implement and manage individualized care plans including medications, education, and prevention of complications.
• Perform ongoing assessments, monitor vitals and lab results, adjust care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, oncologists, case managers, social workers, and other health professionals for coordinated care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, medications, self-care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
