Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA invites Medical Oncology APPs to join a collaborative team delivering comprehensive cancer care in a hybrid model. The role supports 10–12 patients daily with rotating evening/weekend coverage, working alongside 5 MDs and 3 APPs.

Candidates should have 1 year of hematology/oncology APP experience or be open to new grads, strong communication, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. NP with MSN/DNP and acute care certification; PA certs preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hematology/oncology APP experience or willingness to start as new grad.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with a clinical team.
• Stay current with best practices and standards of care.
• Acute care certification required for inpatient or hybrid roles.
• PA credentials (NCCPA) preferred; CAQ certifications preferred.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time
• M-F 8 AM- 5 PM, No nights or weekends
• Practice of 5 MDs and 3 APPs
• Hybrid
• Patient load varies between 10- 12 patients daily
• Rotating call coverage for evenings and weekends

Ideal Candidate:

• At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APP, open to new grads
• Effective communication (written and verbal)
• Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical team
• Current on best practice and standards of care
• Displays self-initiative to learn

Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Acute care certification required for inpatient or hybrid positions.

Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
