Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA seeks a hematology/oncology APP/PA for a full-time, hybrid role. Expect M-F 8 AM–5 PM with rotating on-call coverage in the evenings and weekends.

You will support a team of physicians and advanced practitioners serving a diverse patient population in a state-of-the-art medical center. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in hematology/oncology, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Nurse practitioners require a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.
• Acute care certification is required for inpatient or hybrid positions.
• Physician Assistants with NCCPA certification are preferred; CAQ certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology/oncology care as an APP/PA in a hybrid schedule.
• Manage a patient load of 10–12 daily and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure high-quality care.

Position Highlights

• Full Time
• M-F 8 AM- 5 PM, No nights or weekends
• Practice of 5 MDs and 3 APPs
• Hybrid
• Patient load varies between 10- 12 patients daily
• Rotating call coverage for evenings and weekends

Ideal Candidate

• At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APP, open to new grads
• Effective communication (written and verbal)
• Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical team
• Current on best practice and standards of care
• Displays self-initiative to learn

Nurse practitioners are required to have a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.

Acute care certification required for inpatient or hybrid positions.

Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred. Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
