Texoma Care is seeking a Medical Office Specialist (MOS) to provide front desk coverage for a busy medical practice in Denison, TX. The MOS will manage registration, check-in, co-pays, appointment scheduling, and billing while scanning records into EMR and handling correspondence.

The ideal candidate has medical terminology knowledge, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a flexible schedule in a confidential, professional environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Medical Office Assistant/ Specialist or Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred.
• Reliable, responsible, dependable and able to meet obligations.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks.
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment and software.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Front desk coverage including registration, check-in, and collecting co-pays.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Billing patients and scanning records into EMR; prepare reports and correspondence.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance at all times.
• Carry out assignments to successful completion with problem-solving and decision-making.
