AdventHealth in Colorado is seeking a Patient Access Representative to assist front-desk operations, verify patient data and register services. You will manage insurance and billing details, ensuring accuracy and timely processing to support smooth patient flow.

The role requires an Associate degree in Health Services Administration or related field, with strong customer service and knowledge of medical terminology. Team collaboration and compliance with policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Services Administration or related field required or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology, coding, charge entry and payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls, responds to inquiries, and directs calls appropriately.
• Welcomes patients; verifies and enters demographics, insurance, and billing information.
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, facilitates discharge, and supports reimbursement.
• Clarifies financial assessments, eligibility and benefits memos to assist post-care financial needs.
• Collaborates with clinical partners to enhance patient experiences across departments.

Job Description

• Answers incoming phone calls, responds to inquiries, and directs calls appropriately.
• Welcomes patients; updates, verifies, and enters patient demographics, insurance, and billing information and processes forms into appropriate systems.
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, facilitates timely discharge, and maximizes reimbursement.
• Ensures all financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits memos are clear, updated, and thorough to support post-care financial needs.
• Maintains a working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments, enhancing patient experiences.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Education: Associate and/or higher-level education or completed coursework in health services administration or other related medical or business field.
• [Preferred] High School Grad or Equiv
• [Required] Field of Study: High School Grad or Equivalent Required Associate's Degree in Health Services Administration or other related medical or business field
• Preferred Work Experience: 1+ customer services and medical office or equivalent with medical terminology, coding, charge entry and payment collection.
• [Preferred] Prior collections experience.
• Additional Information: Licenses and Certifications: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) [Preferred]
• Physical Requirements:

Pay Range: $19.77 - $31.63
