Internal Medicine - Plano in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced medical receptionist for check-in/out. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in a medical office setting.

Experience with eClinicalWorks or another EMR is helpful. We value outstanding customer service, strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as medical receptionist in a medical office setting.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks or another EMR system is helpful.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Team player with ability to multi-task, detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Greets, interviews patients and completes all paperwork for check-in/out.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedules appointments according to office guidelines.
• Perform online verification of benefits.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect co-pays and deductibles.
• Post patient and insurance payments.
• Prepare charts for patient appointments and ensure information is complete.
• Handle checkout duties, including pricing services and follow-up scheduling.
• Filing and retrieval of records in the EMR and related documentation.
