Jersey Women's Care Center (JWCC) has exciting employment opportunities for experience medical receptionist to support a busy OBGYN practice in Jersey City, NJ. General Medical Receptionist responsibilities include:

Greeting patients and visitors as they arrive at the office.

Perform registration to ensure demographic and insurance information is accurate and complete. Complies with department procedures and regulatory guidelines for HIPAA.

Confirming insurance benefits and eligibility.

Answer telephones promptly and courteously, while handling multiple phone lines. Routes patients calls efficiently and appropriately to the appropriate area/individual.

Collecting co-pays and other patient payments.

Scheduling appointments, inform patients of delay's in physician schedules, assists with patient comfort while delayed.

Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims.

Scanning and processing patient health information in ECW.

Experience & Qualifications:

High School diploma with 1+ years of related experience

Familiarity with office administrative procedure and medical terminologies.

Proficiency in using electronic health records (ECW)

Outstanding communication and customer services skill.

Must be able to work independently and on a team.

Must have problems solving skills
