Job summary

Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant for the Chittenango Family Care practice. The role blends clinical and administrative duties and reports to the Practice Manager.

The ideal candidate works independently and in a team, delivering friendly service and accurate record-keeping. Responsibilities include assisting providers, maintaining medical records, coordinating referrals, and managing supplies.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
• Medical Office experience: 1 year (Preferred).
• Computer skills: 1 year (Required).
• Ability to stand, sit, and move for extended periods; light lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient service in person and on the phone.
• Record and collect patient data accurately.
• Maintain clean and safe environment; follow infection control standards.
• Assist providers with procedures and examinations.
• Process referrals and scheduling, and manage supplies.

Job description

Oneida Health is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant for our Chittenango Family Care practice. This position is designed to be both clinical and administrative and reports to the Practice Manager of Chittenango Health Center. The ideal candidate will have to be able to work both independently and as part of a team with a customer service attitude. Medical experience is a plus.
