Job summary

University Clinical Health, Inc. is seeking a Medical Office Assistant in Memphis, TN. The MOA will handle inbound/outbound calls, schedule appointments, process registrations, update patient demographics, and assist with referrals while delivering excellent patient and physician service.

Core responsibilities include entering data in Epic, managing the inbound fax system, and supporting pre-certifications and authorizations. Strong attention to HIPAA and medical terminology is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Experience using Epic is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls for scheduling and messaging.
• Process automated appointment scheduling and patient registrations.
• Update patient demographics and enter data into Epic.
• Assist with referrals and health information management while protecting PHI.
• Provide excellent patient and physician customer service.
• Support the Referral Hub with standard policies and workflows.
• Perform pre-certs, authorizations, chart prep and general clerical tasks.
• Maintain strong working relationships with admin and clinical teams.
