IMS Care Center in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a professional Medical Office Assistant for the Neurology department to handle a high volume of patient calls and to schedule and confirm appointments.
The role may involve logging new referrals and assisting the front office with routine practice needs. Travel to Prescott & Payson with the provider on Tuesdays is required. Strong communication, multi-tasking and confidentiality are essential.

IMS is currently searching for a professional, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Medical Office Assistant in our Neurology department. The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for answering a high volume of incoming calls and the scheduling and confirming of appointments. This position may also be responsible for logging new patient’s incoming referrals, and assisting the front office with work related to the support needs of the medical practice.
This position requires travel to Prescott & Payson with the provider on Tuesdays

High School or better.
Travel to Payson and Prescott with the provider on Tuesdays
Must have one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification, Registered Medical Assistant, Emergency Room or Emergency Medical Technician certification, or minimum of 2-5 years of medical assisting experience
Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software
Front Office experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Medical experience and EHR knowledge preferred.
Good computer skills and being familiar with Microsoft (Word and Excel)
