Job summary

CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area dedicated to treating, inspiring, supporting and empowering individuals and families affected by addiction. We are hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with early shifts from 5:30am to 1:30pm.

The role includes rooming patients, urine drug screens, scheduling, phone duties and clerical tasks. CPR certification is required, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• CPR certification required.
• Willing to be trained and adapt to a medical office setting.
• Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for care.
• Perform urine drug screens as part of intake/testing.
• Handle scheduling and appointment coordination.
• Answer phones and assist as needed in the front office.
• Perform clerical duties and data entry.
• Assist with other medical office tasks as requested by supervisor.
