Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties within a mixed clinical and front-office setting. You will support patient care, manage clerical tasks, and use electronic health records to assist the practice.

Minimum six months’ healthcare facility experience or completion of a MA program is required; strong communication and knowledge of medical terminology are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months’ experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience.
• Work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities.
• The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
