Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive front office support: scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, referrals, pre-certifications, EMR documentation.
• Deliver professional patient-centric service and handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and communications.
• Post charges, code fee slips, collect co-pays and balances, assist with end-of-day balancing.
• Coordinate referrals and confirm provider orders for continuity of care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and proper clinic policies in all tasks.
• Keep examination rooms and front areas clean, organized, and stocked.

How You'll Contribute

As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your contributions will include:

• Provide comprehensive front office support, including scheduling and registering patients, verifying insurance, managing referrals and pre-certifications, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
• Deliver professional, compassionate customer service while serving as the first point of contact and managing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, and incoming communications.
• Post charges, code fee slips, collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, and assist with end-of-day balancing and deposit preparation.
• Review provider orders prior to patient departure and coordinate referral appointments to ensure continuity of care.
• Obtain informed consent for invasive procedures and maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and clinic policies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked examination rooms and front office areas to support efficient clinic flow.
• Monitor, reorder, stock, and troubleshoot medical supplies and equipment to minimize operational disruptions.
