Alleghany County Office of AppHealthCare is seeking a full-time clinical medical office assistant for the Sparta, NC area. You will support clinical service programs and report to the Medical Assistant Supervisor.

The role includes interviewing patients, taking medical histories, performing vitals and screenings, and assisting nurses and physicians with exams and clinic tasks. A path to growth within the clinical team is available, with relocation possible to Sparta, NC 28675.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepare patients for examination performing vital signs, height, weight, vision, and hearing screenings.
• Assist nurses and physicians with clinic tasks such as patient interviews, form preparation, data entry, and exams.
• Collect specimens and perform standard care procedures when needed.
• Perform laboratory functions: waived and moderately complex testing, finger sticks, venipuncture; prepare specimens for microscopic viewing or transport to external labs.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $31,704.00 - $50,148.00 per year.

Schedule / Location

• Healthcare setting: Clinic.
• Schedule: 10 hour shift, Monday to Friday.
• Work Location: In person; requires commute to Sparta, NC 28675; may relocate to Sparta, NC 28675 before starting work.
