Job summary

Qualifications

• Prefer completion of an accredited medical administrative assisting program and previous experience in a medical office.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, communicate clearly, and use basic math for billing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with revenue cycle and financial audit guidelines.
• Demonstrates effective computer skills, files, answers phones promptly providing information, and performs other admin duties.
• Accurately performs patient check in/out, verifies insurance, codes visits, balances receipts, and assists with scheduling.
• Orders and maintains clinical and office supplies.
• Ensures HIPAA, OSHA, and infection prevention policies are followed; participates in improvement activities.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
