Job summary

Mission Health is seeking an advanced practice provider to join the Behavioral Health team at Sweeten Creek in Asheville, NC, delivering primary care to inpatients. This role requires NP/PA graduates with BLS and ACLS/PALS certification and allows care for patients of all ages.

The position features a night shift (7 pm–7 am) with a 3, 12-hour shift pattern and rotating weekend coverage, focusing on disease and medication management for psychiatric inpatients while integrating with the care team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of advanced practice provider experience preferred.
• Must be able to see patients of all ages.

Job Summary:

Mission Health is seeking an advanced practice provider to join the Behavioral Health team providing primary care to the patients at our Behavioral Health Hospital, Sweeten Creek, in Asheville, NC.

Specialization:

Qualified Candidates:

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
• BLS, ACLS/PALS certification
• 2+ prior years of advanced practice provider experience preferred
• Candidates must be able to see patients of all ages
• Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Position Highlights:

• Night shift from 7 pm to 7 am

• Will be responsible for pre-existing disease management and medication management of non-psychiatric origin for in-patient psychiatric patients

About Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:

• 120-bed freestanding behavioral health hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
• Two adult, one geriatric, one child, and one adolescent inpatient units
• 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
