Ideal candidates will have 4–8 years of medical malpractice experience, strong writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment. Qualifications

• Minimum of 4–8 years of medical malpractice litigation experience.
• Missouri bar admission required; Illinois licensure preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct early case evaluation and develop defense strategy.
• Review medical records and complex medical issues.
• Work with physicians, hospitals, risk managers, and insurers.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, healthcare providers, corporate representatives, and other witnesses.
• Prepare and defend expert witnesses.
• Coordinate with medical experts and evaluate causation and damages.
• Prepare cases for mediation, settlement, and trial.
• Communicate with sophisticated clients and insurance professionals.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and staff.
