The Law Office of Ligori & Ligori in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in Medical Malpractice, nursing home negligence, and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) abuse and neglect cases. This is an opportunity to be a vital part of a client-centered legal team, supporting attorneys in all phases of complex litigation.

Formación

• Two+ years of experience as a Florida Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
• Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) for at least 2 years.
• Trial experience at least once.
• Experience in preparing cases for trial.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Exemplary tenure with previous employers.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Bilingual Spanish-English a plus.
• 4-year degree or 2-year paralegal degree.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
• Prepare cases for trial and attend with attorneys.
• Organize, draft, review, and file complaints, answers and all discovery.
• Organize the file and attend trial with attorneys.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, complaints, and orders under attorney supervision.
• Maintain and follow up on non-party production documents and logs.
• Provide legal support to attorneys and staff.
• Knowledge of the E-filing system on State and Federal levels.
• Draft and review Civil Remedies Notices.
• Maintain contact with clients, judges, and opposing paralegals.
• Handle certain car, motorcycle, and/or trucking cases.

Qualifications: The candidate must:

• Have two or more years of experience as a Florida Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
• Be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP for at least 2 years.).
• Having gone to trial least once.
• Have experience in the preparation of cases for trial.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be a self-starter and self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
• Have a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
• Have exemplary tenure with previous employers.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
• Have a 4-year degree or a two-year paralegal degree.

Job Duties:

• Candidate must be able to schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
• Prepare cases for trial and attend with attorneys throughout the trial.
• Organize, draft, review, and file complaints, answers and all discovery.
• Organize the file, prepare and attend trial.
• Preparation of other Pleadings, Motions, Complaints, and Orders under the supervision of attorneys, as needed.
• Maintain and follow up on all Non-Party production documents, including Requests for Copies and non-party logs.
• Provide legal support to attorneys and other paralegal staff.
• Knowledge of the E-filing system on both the State and Federal levels.
• Draft and review Civil Remedies Notices.
• Able to maintain contact with clients, judges, and opposing paralegals.
• This position may also be handling certain car, motorcycle, and/or trucking cases.

Benefits:

• $80,000.00-$100,000 per year.
• Plus, potential for monthly bonuses.
• 1 week paid vacation after 6 months.
