Job summary

The Law Office of Ligori & Ligori is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Negligence, and ALF abuse cases. You will support attorneys in all phases of complex litigation, handling depositions, discovery, and trial preparation in a client-centered setting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Florida plaintiff personal injury litigation, FRP status, and a track record in trial prep.

Qualifications

• Have five or more years of experience as a Florida Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
• Be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP for at least 5 years).
• Having gone to trial least once.
• Have experience in the preparation of cases for trial.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be a self-starter and self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
• Have a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
• Have exemplary tenure with previous employers.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
• Have a 4-year degree or a two-year paralegal degree.

Responsibilities

• Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
• Prepare cases for trial and attend with attorneys throughout the trial.
• Organize, draft, review, and file all discovery and answer all discovery.
• Organize the file and prepare it for trial.
• Preparation of Pleadings, Motions, Complaints, and Orders under attorney supervision.
• Maintain and follow up on Non-Party production documents, including Requests for Copies and non-party logs.
• Provide legal support to attorneys and other paralegal staff.
• Knowledge of the E-filing system on State and Federal levels.
• Draft and review Civil Remedies Notices.
• Maintain contact with clients, judges, and opposing paralegals.
• This position may also handle certain car, motorcycle, and trucking cases.
