Qualifications

• 1–3 years in civil defense litigation focusing on medical malpractice/long-term care (preferred).
• Juris Doctor degree and active Florida Bar membership.
• Proficiency in drafting and filing motions and legal documents.
• Experience with court procedures and hearings, depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to develop and execute defense strategies and manage case responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of medical malpractice/long term care defense cases.
• Locate and identify medical experts to review and opine on matters.
• Attend court hearings, conduct depositions, facilitate trial preparation, and provide client representation.
• Consult and counsel with clients, communicating updates and comprehensive legal advice.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and respond to discovery.
