Rissman Law is seeking an experienced Attorney to support a high-volume medical malpractice defense and general liability practice in Florida. The role emphasizes complex legal analysis, persuasive writing, and strong advocacy in a fast-paced environment.

You will independently take depositions, draft motions and memoranda, conduct in-depth research, review medical records and collaborate with lead counsel to develop case strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Proven ability to independently take depositions.
• Strong writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

In this role, you will:

• Independently take depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses
• Draft substantive legal memoranda (motions, responses, replies) requiring advanced analytical reasoning
• Conduct in-depth legal research and translate complex medical/legal issues into clear, persuasive arguments
• Analyze medical records, expert reports, and deposition transcripts with precision
• Collaborate on case strategy with lead counsel
• Handle discovery and client communications, including deposition summaries

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of litigation experience
• Proven ability to independently take depositions
• Exceptional writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred experience:

• Medical negligence claims
• Drafting motions for summary judgment, Daubert challenges/responses
