Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in the state of CA.
• A minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience, preferably with a focus on medical malpractice or healthcare defense experience.
• Nursing Home defense experience is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present legal arguments clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload focused on medical malpractice claims, ensuring efficient handling of matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and partners on strategic legal projects and knowledge sharing.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, motion hearings, and other legal proceedings, including participation at trial.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, provide detailed case updates, manage client expectations, and offer proactive solutions.
• Draft and review complex legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Contribute to development of case strategies and support senior team members in preparing for trials and settlement negotiations.
