Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a qualified litigation attorney to join our established New Jersey practice. This role focuses on defending complex medical malpractice claims from inception through resolution, with responsibilities spanning case strategy, discovery, and drafting diverse pleadings and motions.

Located in Haddon Heights, NJ, the position is primarily on-site with some hybrid flexibility. NJ Bar admission and 2+ years of litigation experience are required; 1+ year in medical malpractice

Qualifications

• New Jersey Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• 1+ year of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, or healthcare litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend complex medical malpractice claims from inception through resolution.
• Manage litigation matters, deadlines, case strategy, and day-to-day client needs.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Participate in discovery, depositions, negotiations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
• Analyze medical records, liability issues, damages, and case-related evidence.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other legal professionals.
• Work independently while collaborating with experienced attorneys and the broader legal team.
• Take initiative, think creatively, and identify practical solutions to challenging litigation issues.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: Haddon Heights, NJ — primarily on-site, with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements depending on the candidate and specific circumstances.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey and have 2+ years of litigation experience, with at least 1 year of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, general liability, or healthcare litigation strongly preferred.
